Experience Of The Overseas Community Education And Its Inspiration For China

Lifelong education and learning society emerge as the trend of international educational development. Community education palys an important role in the construction of lifelong education system and learning society. Though the community education is varied in different countries and regions, the essence is the same. The new education form in Northern Europe, the United States, Japan and Singapore has started early with successful experience having been accumulated. Community education in our country is still in its primitive stage and needs to be perfected in many aspects. The rich experience in foreign countries should be introduced, from which inspirations are drawn.The community education in different countries and regions has its own emphasis and the idea of community education is diverse. For a bird's eye view, several important views about community education and the theoretical bases are introduced in Chapter One.Community education in Northern Europe, the United States, Japan and Singapore develop rapidly and have formed their own distinctive modes. Community education ideas, its management style, enforcement body, developing resources and contents are explored in detail in Chapter Two.Using the experience of other countries for reference, some suggestions are made in Chapter Three, such as selecting education ideas, developing legal system, improving the administration level, establishing enforcement body , etc.
