The Research On The Application Of Attribution Theory In Athletics Teaching In Sports Colleges And Universities

During the teaching of athletics sports, students are faced with lots of success and failure. Whether success or failure, students will be on the reasons or evaluation for it, namely attribution, which will inevitably make wrong attribution or adverse attribution to students themselves. Attribution theory is a kind of theory viewing motives by cognition. It regards"seeking for understands"as the basic motive force of human beings. People explain and deduct their own behaviors and others'and then through the causal relationship to know, predict and control the surrounding environment and the subsequent behaviors.This study has adopted methods of literatures, surveys, experiments and logic approach to randomly and respectively select two classes from grade 2008 and 2009 of education major in PE College of Henan University for two rounds of experimental teaching of 20 hours, and discussed the application of attribution theory in sports colleges and universities.The study shows:1. Through using attribution theory in athletics sports teaching, students'attribution of success and failure will turn into the optimistic way, which specifically reflects that students under the successful situation are inclined to have the attribution of ability, efforts and learning strategies, and those under the failure situation are more inclined to have the attribution of"efforts".2. Through using attribution theory in athletics sports teaching, the level of students'achievement motivation has been greatly promoted, which is helpful to discover students'potentials.3. Through using attribution theory in athletics sports teaching, students are impelled to attribute optimistically and improve their achievement motivation and further to promote their academic achievement.4. The attribution theory contains training methods of pedagogy, psychology, etc., which can greatly promote students'ability of sports and is in favor of the study of special athletics skills. 5. The attribution theory has enriched PE teaching theories and methods and provided references for the study of the development of PE teaching theories and methods in future.
