Last century, Textbook has been questioned in large-scale discussion in Chinese teaching circle. The national curriculum reform was carried out, since basic education curriculum reform outline (draft) has been issued by Ministry of Education in June, 2001. Occurrence of newly-published textbook is the important sign of new-round elementary education curriculum reform. The compiled of new textbook is based on the concept of curriculum standards. The objective of this article is comparaty of the new and old chinese books of junior middle school published by the People's Education Press for the pre and after the new course reform, including overall design, selected text system and linking to four parts in this article. At last, revision attitude was brought forward.The first part:Introduction. Research background and significance were introduced, and the previous study achievements also summarized.The second part:System design comparison of the pre and after the new course reform. The part introduces the main contents of compiling guiding ideology, compiling system and compile style. The third part:Selected text system comparison of the pre and after the new course reform. The part consists of the seven small portion involving:①The comparison of the text theme;②The comparison of the text genre;③The comparison of vernacular chinese and classical chinese;④The comparison of chinese works and foreign work;⑤The comparison of additions and deletions of the text.The fourth part:Conclusion and Suggestions. The characteristics and deficiency of two edition books were educed, and amendment suggestions were brought forward in this part.
