With the development of modern network technology and penetration of mass media, the symbol of the generation "post-80" has been well-known by the public. The words "post-80","post-90" and "post-00" are used to refer to those who were born after 1980,1990 and 2000 respectively. Among all these words, "post-80" is the one that has been heard most, because people of this generation have grown up and they are either studying at university or have formed families and stepped into society. With the growth of their age, they will become the supportive force of social development. As the "post-80 generation" grows and gets mature, the public comments about them have been divided into two versions. Some people think that this generation acts indulgently, has poor self-discipline and serious psychological rebellion and lacks of hard-working spirit of prior generations. However, the fact is, when crisis and catastrophe happen, they don't panic or escape, instead they show great responsibility. This contrast exactly reflects the unique ideological and political features of the "post-80" generation. In this paper, through in-depth research and analysis, based on the family education, school education and social education of the "post-80" generation, through the analysis of the status of "ideological and political education of the "post-80" generation, the author tries to find out what kind of this generation has accepted, so as to explore a new way to improve and optimize the ideological and political education of young people. Thus, some more scientific educational concepts, manner and methods can be provided for the ideological and political education of the "post-90" and "post-00" generations.
