Since the end of last century china had already entered the ranks of the aging country. With the degree of the population aging deepened the number of china's elderly population is growing. The exist of enormous older age groups whom need to be supported takes heavy pressure to our society on the aged providing, and the aged providing security system of China is confronted with a stern challenge. In this thesis I will try to analyze the status quo and dilemma of the current patterns of the aged providing existing in china from the social point of view, and try to search for a intervention from the social worker point of view to find a reasonable way to resolve the aged providing problem of our future society.The space-time background or function field of discussion in this thesis is the increasingly obvious tendency of aging in china since the 80s of last century. The first research method of this thesis is qualitative induction. In this thesis I will try to analyze the various patterns of the aged providing that was researched by most scholars in the past day, and make a summary about the suitable area and population and feature of the various patterns of the aged providing. The second research method of this thesis is comparative analysis. In this thesis I will try to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the various patterns of the aged providing of all period in different areas to make a reference for the option of pattern of the aged providing in the future society. The third research method of this thesis is literature research method. In this thesis I will try to set forth my views about the option of the pattern of social providing for the aged in china and the intervention of social worker to the pattern on the premise that I research the literature results of previous. I will cite authority literature when key data is used this thesis.In this thesis I make a systematic and comprehensive research about the pattern of the aged providing of china on the premise that I reference to the literature results of previous, and make a further analysis about the pattern of the social aged providing of china from the point of view on intervention of social worker. First, the research about the option of the pattern of social providing for the aged in china and the intervention of social worker to the pattern may provide a supplementary explanation to the option of the pattern of the aged providing of our future society. Second, we can make a prediction on the historical trend of the resolution on the problem of social providing for the aged with the correlated framework of the explanation theory.
