Migration of minority between areas in our country becomes an inevitable trend because of the reforms and opening-up and urbanization since 1980s. A plenty of minority migrated to eastern littorals, attracted by expeditious development of society, economy and culture.These years the number of minority population in eastern littorals of Shandong province is increasing distinctly as a result of its economy development environment and natural geographical advantage. It's significative for the nation relations, the economy development, the social stabilization, the implement of nation policies, and even the building of the harmonious society to understand and deal with the migration minority issue accurately, which is propitious to the stabilization and development of both cities and national areas.The article investigates and analyses the minority migration in eastern littorals of Shandong province, and gets on as follows:First, introduce the western theories of migration and the research actuality of domestic and overseas scholars to provide theory foundation for further research.Second, analyse the history and trend of the whole country with data of census; summarize the actuality of minority population in Shandong, indicate the trend of minority migration in eastern littorals of Shandong, especially Yantai, Qingdao and Weihai; analyse the distributing characters and migrating trend of minority in Weihai with methods of Economics and Demology.Finally, indicate that migration of minority population brings active influences for development of nations, stability of society and even the building of the harmonious society, but also negative influences to the places of destination.To facilitate reasonable migration of minority, the article put forward several suggestions such as to strengthen the construction of statute system for management of minority, to increase supporting extent for the social economy development of the minority, to strengthen the construction of consortium and network of minority, and so on.
