The new curriculum has been implemented all over the country, but some provinces have just implemented it for a short time. As a result, teachers have some confusion about the subject knowledge of the new curriculum, especially for the newly added knowledge which they are likely to forget and because they have not learned before. They lack the subject knowledge. This paper uses the Chemical Reaction Principle module as the carrier and designs a questionnaire to find out the present situation of teachers'knowledge and usage on the subject knowledge. The questionnaire is conducted in Changchun and its surrounding areas. Then the writer analyzes the results and finds that the present situation is basically the same with the assumption.1. Teachers can not mater the subject knowledge very well, especially for the newly added knowledge. Teachers are unable to use it skillfully as the old knowledge. They can not dig deep and dare not dig deep, and even possess an evasive attitude.2. Different types of teachers have differences in mastering the subject knowledge. Teachers'own age, teaching age and their professional titles all have a great effect on their mastery of the subject knowledge. In this paper, the effect of the professional title is not very obvious because 99.12% of the teachers who are interviewed have Bachelor degree and only one teacher with more than 20 years teaching experiences has associate degree.3. An abundant teaching experience is very helpful to acquire subject knowledge, but it is not a direct proportion. It is showed that teachers with 6-15 years of teaching experience can mater the subject knowledge very well.At the same time, it is recommended that teachers had better not have doubt on the new curriculum or reject it completely. Teachers should learn to accept it and try to find its strengths and weaknesses. Only in this way can they grow with the new curriculum. Teachers can enhance their own abilities through a variety of ways, such as self-study, academic training or postgraduate education. They can also resolve the problems through a variety of ways such as seeking help from the network or university teaching materials, discussing with colleagues, turning to training or university teachers and so on.While we are reminding teachers, we also have some suggestions for the government and educators. For example, increase the investment for the schools of district towns to improve the overall level of secondary school teachers. The government should also concern about the demand for teachers and take different trainings for teachers of different levels. |
