Research On Status Of Swimmimg Professional Faculty Of Physical Institute In Guangdong Colleges

According to Program of China's Educational Reform and Development, the way to revitalize the nation lies in education, and the way to revitalize education lies in teachers. Therefore, it is really important to establish an excellent faculty system which has good political and teaching quality, reasonable structure, moderate number of teachers and enthusiasm and energy. Moreover, we should try to train the teachers to acquire high scholarship and wide and deep knowledge, which is the theme of Higher Education and the basic guarantee for sustainable and rapid development of university. What's more, it will affect that whether the colleges can have further development and improvement. Therefore, to study the status of teachers in colleges is an important content of the building of faculty system, which has great significance to the education and education reform.The physical institutions in Guangdong colleges, an important part of higher education, with strong characteristics of profession and industry, cultivate people into higher professional sportsmen. Swimming, a special sport style in water, has many characteristics: it is not only a sport containing body exercise and entertainment, but also a skill that everyone need to master. In the Olympic Games, the competition of swimming helps Chinese to win a lot of gold medals, which comes after the competition of track and field. As the saying goes that"you are the winner of Olympic Games if you win the competition of swimming and track and field". Jiang Zemin once said that teachers are students'leaders, and the words and actions of teachers will have effect on students. Therefore, teachers should set a good example in political, moral and academic field. The teachers who are teaching swimming are organizers, leaders and managers in the teaching process; therefore, the skills and teaching abilities of teachers will have positive or negative influence on students'thinking and ability, ect.With wide spread of swimming exercise in public and schools, owning good weather and geography location, the level of swimming skills and stadium construction and the qualification of coaches in Guangdong province are comparatively better than the other provinces; therefore, the situation in Guangdong has representative characteristics. The objects of study are swimming-teaching teachers who are working in physical institutions in Guangdong universities. Adopting literature-review-method, questionnaire survey, expert interviews, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, this survey involves 48 swimming-teaching teachers, 14 department leaders, 13 directors of teaching-and-research department and 8 specialists. Having the research on the structure of swimming-teaching teachers'gender, age, job and educational backgrounds, the investigation concludes that the number of professional swimming-teaching teachers is insufficient, which results that the workload of teachers is far beyond the requirements of Ministry of Education, and there is a serious imbalance in gender ratio. However, Age Structure of "intermediate small, two big" features, age structure is not reasonable enough, more than 51 years of age accounted for a disproportionately large 41-50-year-old small proportion of the middle fault trend . Swimming teachers of title structure is better, but professors are concentrated in the age of 51 years old, an associate professor in the 87% concentrated in the 51 years of age, younger teachers, said Fu Gaozhi relatively few professors and associate professor in Guangzhou Physical Education Institute , several other departments and institutes in the professional swimming instructor and assistant teachers mostly, Fu Gaozhi that the proportion of small, young teachers should be on strengthening the culture What's more, the English ability of the teachers is not very good and it will restrict them to participate in the international cooperating activity and the ability to know the new trend and information. We are in lack of the teachers who have great educational background and sporting experience. At present, there is an unbalanced system of teachers working in physical institution of Guangdong Colleges. The teachers who come from Guangdong and other provinces take 78% and 16% of the whole number respectively and Most of the teachers graduated from the Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science, South China Normal University, rates were 53% and 18%. The phenomenon of "inbreeding" is relatively serious. 94.68% of the teachers expresses that they are fond of and interested in their work, but we should also pay much attention to continuing education.
