Virtual reality is a new high-technoledge emerged in the late 20th 1980S after computer and network.It is soon widely applied in many fields for its high degree of simulation and immersion.Currently, virtual reality technology has been applied in the entertainment, medical, engineering, urban planning, education, training, military simulation, science and financial visualization .In education and teaching fields, virtual reality technology has a significant effect and profound influence. Virtual reality can provide learners realistic learning environment ,so learners can be direct participants in the virtual learning environment, which is imprtant for promoting learners'initiative mobilize,breaking the keys and difficulties in learning,and it also can play a positive role in cultivating the skills of learners . With the continuous improvement of computer performance, virtual reality applied in teaching, science education and technology research is possible. How to design and develop network coursewares based on virtual reality, and how to use virtual reality in teaching coursewares, so that students can experience the fun of learning, which will become an important research project in the future.Web3D technology is an online virtual reality technology, it is one of the main representatives of virtual reality, it overcome the shortcomes of traditional network coursewares which are limited to two-dimensional space and weak imersion.Web3D is widely usued in education and teaching for it's good three-dimensional nature, flexible interaction and simple hardware. Its own characteristics is consistent with constructivist learning requirements, and thus the design and development of network Courseware based on Web3D Technology is a need of of times, and it is also an important part for educational reforming.Firstly, the article introduces the background of this study, it is the requirement of practice and the Permission of reality.Then looks for somes theories to support our study. Under the guidance of theories the author mentioned before,thinking about how to design courses based on Web3D. In reading a lot of relevant informations and practical investigations and personal experience ,the author put forward six principles and three strategies for online courses design.According to design principles and design strategies,the reseacher independently developed the online course based on Web3D with two Web3D exploitation tools- C3D and VRP.After systematical theoretical studies and practical researches,the validity of the theories we put forword was verified.At the same time,we also desconvered the shortcomes of our thoeries,this means that we riched our theories.Meanwhile,the design and development of the online courses based on Web3D has not only set a rewarding attempt but also put forword a concrete solution in trying to introduce Web3D as a new teaching method into architecture decorating.
