Study On The Influence Of Farmer Education On Farmers' Sustainable Livelihoods

To build a moderately prosperous society in all aspects , The key lies in rural areas, the focus lies in farmers ,the difficulty lies in raising the science and technology cultural quality and build up the ability of vast farmers . The development of rural education and the improvement of the quality of the rural labor force,not only is the core to balance urban and rural development and to solve "three agricultural problems",but also is the important part of implementing the scientific outlook on development and building a harmonious society.Since the founding of New China,the party and the state government attach great importance to farmer education,especially in the new rural construction process recent years.central authorities put forward"new farmers'training",which aims to carry out agricultural technology training and professional skills training on farmers relying on the indusrial development,and make them be"educated , skilled and good managed"farmers,finally provides intellectual support and personnel security to promote rural industrial structure adjustment, accelerate the process of agricultural industrialization and increase their income.The farmers'livelihoods problems is one of the problems we must face when we make study on"three agrecultural problems". In recent years, the study on livelihoods is accepted by more and more scholars and research institutions. On the study of farmer livelihoods in this paper, the reference is DFID's sustainable livelihoods research framework, the advantages of this framework is that it's maturity and integrity. Under the guidance of the lilelihoods framework,we can divide the livelihoods of rural households into three parts:livelihoods assets,livelihoods strategies and livelihoods outcomes.Through the detailed study on sustainable livelihoods of rural households, we can know about the farmers'current livelihoods situation more clearly,and can lay a good foundation for the study on the effects of farmer education on sustainable livelihoods of rural households.This study attempts to make a bridge between farmer education and sustainable livelihoods of rural households,and make study on the the famer education on sustainable livelihoods of rural households under the guidance of the livelihoods framework.The advantage of this study lies that when we analyse,we can make a study with multiple perspecitves,namely: the impact of farmer education on the livelihoods assets, the impact of farmer education on the livelihoods srategies , the impact of farmer education on the livelihoods outcomes. Comparing to former "Human Capital Perspective on farmer education," or "household income of farmers in the Perspective of Education" and other research perspectives, the framework of sustainable livelihoods is more comprehensive.
