For the past few years, both professional collection newspapers and comprehensive newspapers extended or increase their pages for collection in order to meet the needs of collection fans. Together with the popular of collection market, a lot of information about collection are reported on a unprecedented level, and information about collection become the new hot spot of media, news produce and news consumption., which there is an interaction with collection. So it surely become new subject how the newspaper popularize knowledge of collection, cultivate the collection market and guide the private collection.In the fields of the reports about private collections, I choose Qilu Evening News and Collection and Auction Reviews as my researching objects. I choose Qilu Evening News because it is a comprehensive metropolitan newspaper which has professional private collection reports every month, and it has wild ranging influence and numerous accept masses. It is a important sample to analyse the private characteristics of the report about collection information which mass newspaper report. I choose Collection and Auction Reviews because it is the professional newspaper in collection field of China and it provides a lot of profound and comprehensive information in collection field. In choosing these two newspapers to research, for one thing I realize that private collection has the characteristics of both popular and professional, for another thing it fits the fact that private collection mainly refers to popular metropolitan newspapers and professional newspaper. As a results, this thesis take these two newspapers as samples to analysis.By adopting both content analysis and questionnaire survey methods, I start my research with private collection reports, and research the characteristics of Qilu Evening News and Collection and Auction Reviews'reports. In views of reporters and accepters, I try to unscramble how newspapers construct this fashionable private collection and to find out the problems and shortages of this kind of reports. In this way, I hope that it could help the healthy development of both private collection and reports about it.
