Since the concept of cognitive style has been put forward in 1930s, psychologists in the Western world have come up with a series of theories about it. At the same time, a lot of empirical study also has been done. However, in China most empirical studies are related to the dimension of field independent-field dependent and researches on other dimensions are not as many as it supposes to be. This research first made the university student cognition style scale and according to the existed rich theories the scale has three dimensions: thinking introversive-thinking extroversive, intuitive-analytic, words-image. The reliability and structural validity were verified and the scale was proved of good quality.This research also made the interpersonal transaction survey of university students. According to the investigation, the results are: nearly one half of the students have very strong initiative awareness in personal transaction and there are only 6.5% of the students with slight initiative awareness; 41.7% of the students actually act initiative in personal transaction and 27.8% of the students slightly act initiative in interpersonal transaction; 1/4 of the students have wide extent of interpersonal transaction and 1/5 of the students have narrow extent of interpersonal transaction; 2/5 of the students have deep relations with friends and 2.7% of the students don't have deep connections with others students; more than half of the students have much more homosexual friends and more than 65% of the students make friends with homosexual students when they act initiatively in interpersonal transaction. Besides, this research investigated the relation between the interpersonal transaction and grade, gender, environment, etc.Last but not least, this research investigated the relation between cognitive style and interpersonal transaction of university students. The results are: regarding to thinking introversive-thinking extroversive dimension, students'initiative awareness, initiative act, extent, depth of interpersonal transaction, balance of different gender friends, gregariousness, degree of intuition and principle are significant correlative to it; regarding to intuitive-analytic dimension, students'initiative awareness, initiative act, depth of interpersonal transaction, balance of different gender friends and degree of principle are significant correlative to it; regarding to words-image dimension, students'initiative awareness, initiative act, depth of interpersonal transaction are significant correlative to it.
