The Chinese textbooks of the secdondary vocational school needs to be given thorough research, positive exploration and bold reform because of the specificity of the education objectives of the vocational education and the features of source of students. With the constantly deepening of the reform of the basic curriculum in secondary vocational school, the importance of study on textbook becoming increasingly apparent. Some beneficial exploration on the development and reform of the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school has been made in many parts of our country.The thesis regards the Chinese textbooks which is the version of Jiangsu Education Publishing House for the secondary vocational school in Jiangsu as the research object, It widely researches the teachers and students who use the textbook and objectively assesses the Chinese textbook with the combination of survey and feedback. This set of Chinese textbook has the following features: the goal of compiling the textbook is gradually becoming mature, the selection of the text is rich in content and diver, Writing style is more perfect and the way of presentation is humanized. Certainly this set of textbooks also has some problems: The characteristic of vocational education is not prominent, the arrangement of class hour does not accord with the truth, The standards is insufficient, The content is wanting in rigorous and the material matching the textbook is lacking. The thesis has put forward some suggestions on how to compile the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school. When we choose the material for textbook, we should pay attention to the multiplication of the selection of the textbook; we should place extra emphasis on the writing content, the spoken language content should be operational. It also proposes the conception that the textbook should be divided into three parts-base module, professional module and development module from its systems and frameworks.The paper tries to find a better way of compiling the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school by means of the study on the version of Jiangsu Education Publishing House. It applies Investigation and Documentation Act. It carried on the exploration and try to construct the new Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school with the help of the related theory of pedagogy and teaching material theory with a hope to offer some beneficial reference to the reform of the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school.There are altogether five chapters with introduction. The thesis' background, definition, methodology and literature review are introduced in introduction. The first chapter summarizes the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school, pointing out its status and function, analyzing its current situation. The second chapter researches the teachers, students and graduates who used the textbook, surveying some information, problems and suggestions, which they got when they make use of the textbook, then making a rational analysis on the result of survey. The third chapter summarizes the guiding ideology and the writing principle of the textbook., carding its writing system and analyzing the basic features and problems of textbook. The fourth chapter puts forward the conception of compiling the Chinese textbooks of the secondary vocational school from the selection, system and framework of the textbook.
