The Research Of Su Shoutong’s History Textbooks Of Primary And Secondary Schools Compiling Ideas And Compiling Practice

Su Shoutong, a Chinese scholar, is the first generation to compile history textbooks of primary and secondary schools of New China. He worked about half a century as the editor of Chinese elementary and middle schools’history textbook, contributing his lifetime to the compiling work. He compiled a number of history textbooks and made great contribution.This paper’s main research object is from Su Shoutong’s main writing, primary and middle school history textbooks which he compiled. This paper discusses the source of Su Shoutong’s middle school history textbook compilation. According to the target schema theory, learning theory, the history’s characteristics and editing thoughts, Su Shoutong compiled many history textbooks of primary and secondary schools.In the process of compiling, he insisted those views ---- the main compilation principle of Marx’s historical materialism,the thought of class struggle,the thought of people creating history, the thought of people of all ethnic groups to create history, "double hundred policy", etc. In the third chapter,the author discusses Su Shoutong’s compiling ideological content and the application in practice. The content of the chapter based on "key link", the content of structure is history style. The content of the primary and secondary is clear and also helps to guide the teaching practice. We should realize its advantages and disadvantages when valuating Su Shoutong’s compiling ideas.First of all, the support of the country can help a lot to the development of history textbook construction of the primary and secondary school.Second, building a bridge between the editor subject and the object is a good way to improve the history textbooks’compiling ideas.
