China is in the critical period of transiting from the planned economy to the market economy and from agricultural civilization to industrial civilization.Our society, education and curriculum are in the transformation.The people's concept of courses and courses'academic architecture is undergoing an epoch-making process . "The student-development-oriented" curriculum reform has become the main theme of the teaching reform of primary and secondary education,which has had a profound impact on the development of China's education and our society.At present,the International Baccalaureate Organization has extended IB curriculum to the education systems of many countries and it has been recognized in more and more countries.Our country is trying to cooperate with the IB education,more and more public schools are in the process of setting up IB project.At this juncture,studying the MYP courses which are called "the backbone of International Education" can not only provides us with new vision and new ideas for curriculum research,but also has some practical significance for further promoting and deepening the reform of China's new curriculum.This article firstly overviews the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and introduces its history and the latest developments,and analyses comprehensively and systematicly curriculum of MYP and try to dig out the characteristics and problems of course; Then,this article has a case study for the practice of Junior High School Department of Guangdong Bigui Yuan (IB) International School,focusing on their own success,characteristics and problems of the MYP curriculum implementation.Finally, this article put forwards some enlightenments for China's new curriculum reform.On the basis of comparing MYP curriculum with the national curriculum,this article draws its features:more international concept,more comprehensive,more development target and more personalized evaluation.For the problems of the current new courses reform,this article puts forwards the following suggestions:integration of curriculum,diversification of assessment and globalization education.This paper attempts to search for a point between internationalization and localization,hoping to be good for successful implementation of China's new curriculum reform.As a project which has change from the advanced educational philosophy into for specific-operated project,IBMYP has undoubtedly the reality meaning for how to improve our country's level of internationalization of education,how to implement integrated curriculum and how to evaluate it diversifiedly.We should absorb critically a lot from IBMYP.
