On The Teacher Flow Controled By Informal System

Abstract/Summary:
Based on the balanced development of basic education, this paper mainly focuses on teacher flow between city and suburb from the perspective of informal system. The topic selection is based on the background of teacher flow and personal experience. After collecting, analyzing and sorting the historical documents about teacher flow and informal system, we settle down the study's main content and the perspective of informal system. Teacher flow refered in the paper is a generalized meaning. From the aspect of flowing initiators, it contains administrational teacher flow and self-controled teacher flow; from the aspect of flowing direction, it contains horizontal flow and vertical flow; from the aspect of flowing range, it contains innersystem flow and the flow between between educational system and other system; from the aspect of flow result, it contains reasonable flow and unreasonable flow. According to the historical documents, informal system discussed in the paper involves four main fields, which are school democratic atmosphere, traditional custom and habit, ethic and conception. Then twelve main factors(interpersonal relationship, latent rules, culture of centralization, male centralism, family departmentalism, city-centered orientation, professional cognition, occupational ethics, social credibility, teacher's organizational confidence, teacher's professional faith and teacher's educational belif) are derived from the four main informal institutional fields that influences teacher flow. Historical documents analyzing, questionnaire investigation and case prestentation are applied in the studying process to illustrate the situation of teacher flow, to reveal the informal system hidden in process of teacher flow and also to give a stastatic and theoretical supports when rebuilding a more reasonable formal system of teacher flow.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is about introduction of the study. In this part, it mainly illustrates the origin of the study, the method of the study, the purpose of the study, and the signification of study as well. The second part is about the main conception and perspective of the study. The main conception and informal system perspective are confined after collecting, analyzing and sorting the historical documents about teacher flow and informal system. In the third part, an investigation research used self-composed questionnaire is carried on to show the general situtiation of teacher flow controlled by informal system in some public schools of Zhejiang Province. In the fourth part, a deep analysis is to be continued to discuss how and why the teacher flow in terms of informal system by the means of theory and individual cases. The fifth part is about how to creat reasonable conditions for teacher flow between city and suburb. Based on the experimental investigation and theorical analysis, some measures are put forward to fasten the change of some informal system that influences teacher flow so as to make a suitable and reasonable condition for teacher's regular flow. Five measures offered in the paper are the transition of traditional thoughts, rebuilding of social honesty, recognition of traditional culture, reshaping of teacher image and cultivation of educational belief.
