Nowadays, along with the increasing concern for environmental problems in China and advance of the new curriculum reforms, the status and the role of high school chemistry in environmental education are increasingly important. Under this background, the compiling of new chemical curriculum standards and its experimental textbooks are all fully considered of the penetration of environmental education. The goals, related contents, teaching methods and processes of environmental education are all worth of being researched. A considerable amount of literatures show that we lack researches on the environmental education and its implement in related subjects. So, we choose the environmental education in high school chemistry teaching as research subject, and discuss some implement problems under this background.Environmental education through chemistry teaching is propitious for students to understand chemistry subject correctly, build up scientific chemistry concept, gain environmental knowledge and ability to resolve environmental problems, then improve students'scientific literacy and overall environment quality.Based on all the factors mentioned above, the paper discusses questions from the following five parts.Firstly, this paper brings up the question. Combining the curriculum reform of Chinese basic education and high school chemistry subject, we elaborate the researching background, the methods, the significance of this paper, and clarify the definition of environmental education.Secondly, this paper researches the development and current research situation of environmental education at home and abroad, which are researched by reading literatures. Then, we analyze the research tendency of Chinese environmental education and environmental education in school.Thirdly, this paper researches the goals and contents of environmental education under the new curriculum reform in high school chemistry teaching, which is the core of this paper. In this part, we firstly analyze the goals of the chemistry curriculum, international and scholastic environmental education. Then, we try to construct the goal system of environmental education in high school chemistry teaching. After that, we count and analyze the compulsory and partial optional chemic textbooks which have three editions, and summarize the good and weak points about them. After all the researches above, we try to look for the links between chemistry teaching and environmental education.Fourthly, this paper discusses the methods and process of environmental education in chemistry teaching under the new curriculum. Because, realizing the goals and bringing the contents into play, all need definitely teaching methods and processes. This part mainly researches the problem of"how to teach", and advises some methods and processes for choosing.At last, we try to table some proposals and ideas, which is the epilogue of this paper.
