In the latter half of the last century, Chinese government established a great amount of overseas Chinese farms in Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, etc. province, for the resettlement of large number of the returned overseas Chinese during the large-scale anti-Chinese incidents in Southeast Asia.Guangxi province, as an adjacent to Southeast Asia, has become one of the most centralized places where to resettle the returned overseas Chinese. According to the available data shows, in Guangxi, there are 22 overseas Chinese agricultural farms which located in 9 areas of 15 counties, with a total population of 125 thousand. And overseas Chinese fishing village in Qisha town is one of the resettle places of these important venues.Different from other overseas Chinese farms in Guangxi, overseas Chinese fishing village in Qisha Town is a specialized resettlement for the returned overseas Chinese from Vietnam and it's also a fishing village form to set up a settlement, which is unique in the form of the returned overseas Chinese resettlement in China. This paper applies anthropological theory and research methods, and takes the marginalized groups of Overseas Chinese fishing village in Qisha town as a research subject. In the basis of the study in afield, it analysis the reason aroused by identification and its influence, through describe the returned overseas Chinese's identification in economic, cultural, and social life. So that to explore the relationship between the identification and marginalization. Finally, it proposes suggestions and opinions of how to marginalization for Chinese fishing village of Qisha town.This thesis aims at conducting a study on the identity of"marginalised ethnic groups"by selecting a typical"marginalised ethnic group"- the returned overseas Chinese resided in the huaqiao fishing village, Qisha town (hereinafter"Qisha returner") -as a example. Firstly, on the basis of the history with regard to the Qisha returners'going abroad, return and their lives after returning to China, this study will improve the reader's understanding about the returned overseas Chinese and the Chinese government's efforts with respect to their settlement; Secondly, based on the pursuit of the connection between"marginalized ethnic groups"and"identity", this study can provide a new perspective for the study of returned overseas Chinese; Finally and realistically, this study is capable to provide some helpful advise and reference for the issues of"demarginalising"the commonly existed returned overseas Chinese communities, helping these communities to overcome the difficult situation and harmonising with the local communities.
