Along with the Internet technology's swift development, the development of information technology and the application of the Internet, taking the digital compression technology and the satellite communication technology as outstanding features, have obviously extended the transmission scope of information and greatly improved the transmission speed. This has brought huge influence to our society and life. As the birthplace of new thought, new culture, new technology and new theory, university campus is duty-bound to occupy the leading position to face the influence under the tide of the Internet. The Internet extends to classrooms, dormitories, labs and even corners in campus. Its huge variety of information has made a wide range of impact on students' ways of life and study, their value orientation and their ideological and moral qualities. University campus culture, the concentrated expression of cohesive and centripetal force of college students, has undergone profound changes.University campus Internet culture is a specific culture phenomenon in the network environment and university campus, among a particular group. This article is first set out on the basic connotation of Internet culture, its formation and function. Then it analyzes further the meaning, emergence and development of university campus Internet culture, summarizes the common features of these two cultures and the individual characteristics of university campus Internet culture. At the same time, the significance of university campus Internet culture in the present era is explained.The second part of the article focuses on the temporary situation of the construction of university campus Internet culture—problems and achievements; elaborates university campus Internet culture's influences, mainly on three aspects—on college students, teachers and the construction of university campus culture as well. Finally, corresponding solutions are provided to enhance the construction and facilitate Internet culture to be an advanced leading culture of university campus.
