Study On China's Urban Population And Family Planning Under The New Situations

The population problem has been always got international and domestic attention, especially in China, a developing country with the largest population. Its population problem is a major issues in the primary stage of socialism. So carring out the population and family planning, controlling the number of population and improving its quality, is our major strategic decision to achieve the great goal of socialist modernization and sustainable development.China's population and family planning work has made significant achievements. Meanwhile, we also have many problems need to be sorted out. Under the new situations ,China's population and family planning work will face new challenges and opportunities, and will have new tasks and requirements.On the basis of summing up the relevant studies at home and abroad, this article reviews the development of China's population and family planning, and sums up its main achievements firstly. Then it analyzes the situations of new stage, points out the opportunities and challenges we will have to face and intrduces its direction and missions in the future. Then combined with previous work experiences and theoretical guidances, as well as foreign advanced technology experience, the article raises eight suggestions about seizing opportunities and meeting challenges.Finally we come to the conclusion that we should find a new way about making the urban population and family planning develop well and fastly.
