In September of 2001, the Education Department of Republic of China promulgated《curriculum standard of current senior chemistry ( experiment manuscript)》《curriculum standard》for short), which divided senior high school chemistry curriculum into eight modules, two of which are compulsory. There is crucial meaning for students to study the compulsory modules of chemical theories. However, under the circumstances of new curriculum,"one stand several textbooks"has taken the place of traditional"one stand one textbook". The experimental textbook after the revolution of senior high school curriculum has been popularized and used in national wide range because of the《curriculum criterion》All different versions of the textbooks have taken on a phenomenon of a hundred schools of thought contend, the three of which, the edition of people's education press,the edition of Shandong science and technology press& the edition of Jiangsu education press were complied based on the < curriculum criterion>. Thus, the research of the difficulties of these three versions of textbooks has special significance.The difficulty model used in this article is Professor Shi's Static ration difficulty model. We can jump to the following conclusions by analyzing the chemical theories such as amount of substance,hydronium reaction,reaction of redox,the table of element period,chemical bond,chemistry energy and heat energy,chemistry energy and electric energy & velocity and limit of chemical reaction from the aspects of width, depth and difficulty of the curriculum in the edition of people's education press,the edition of Shandong science and technology press,the edition of Jiangsu education press & curriculum standard.First of all, in a general view of width, the edition of Shandong science and technology press is the widest while the edition of people's education press is the narrowest, and it is the same to the width of curriculum standard. Both the edition of Jiangsu education press and the edition of Shandong science and technology press have reached and exceeded the curriculum criterion except the table of element period(including configuration of atom & the law of element period),chemical bond & velocity and limit of chemical reaction.Secondly, in the depth of curriculum, except the edition of Shandong science ,others are familiar to curriculum standard for the degree. The demand of knowledge is focused on the level of acquaintance and recognition, awareness and enumeration in the next place. There is only a small portion which requires understanding and explanation. All of the three versions of the textbooks have higher standard of knowledge than that of curriculum criterion, while the edition of Shandong science and technology press is the deepest among these three.In the end, in the area of the difficulty of curriculum, there are some projecting difficulties existing in certain content of the edition of Shandong science and technology press& the edition of Jiangsu education press. From the analysis of all eight modules, three of the modules in the edition of Shandong science and technology press, which are amount of substance,chemistry energy and heat energy & chemistry energy and electric energy, are with the most difficulty; The rest five modules in the edition of Jiangsu education press are the most difficult. Three of the modules in the edition of Jiangsu education press,which are amount of substance,chemistry energy and heat energy & chemistry energy and electric energy, are with the least difficulty; The other five modules in the edition of people's education press are easiest. The edition of people's education press is the one which mostly approaches to the curriculum criterion. The modules which approach to the curriculum criterion in all of the three versions of textbooks are amount of substance,the table of element period,chemical bond,chemistry energy and electric energy & velocity and limit of chemical reaction.The above research is to provide reference and foundation for the compilers of textbook and teachers. In addition, we brought up some advises aimed at the above research:Since the revolution of curriculum, teachers are no longer'teaching the textbook', instead of which, they are'using text book to teach'. According to the actual circumstances of the school, the learning receptivity of students, they can combine the static degree of difficulties of the three versions of textbooks to arrange hours and adjust the depth as well as the width of the curriculum while they are proceeding the design of teaching.The curriculum criterion is the syllabus that the compilers of textbook must conform to. It requires the creator of the curriculum criterion define and clarify the boundary of the content and the definition of the concept. Therefore, the compilers should work over the curriculum criterion through and through with carefulness, to better apprehend the curriculum criterion. What is more, it is also suggested that the compilers of textbook should explain the characters of the difficulties and why there would be such compilation in this version of textbook as well as how to elevate the capability of students, the genre of students which would be suitable for this version of textbook, etc., in the corresponding teachers'book, to help teachers with comprehending the difficulty of the textbook.
