Since the basic reform, the compilation of teaching materials in our country has changed from the original "one course, one copy" to the principle of "one standard and multiple copies".As a result, the teaching materials have shown a prosperous scene of "a hundred flowers bloom",followed by teaching material research, teaching material evaluation and teaching material comparison.Since the promulgation of the new curriculum standards, textbook compilation experts have revised the textbooks. At present, the new textbooks have been put into use in most parts of the country, and all regions are faced with the problem of textbook selection.Because of the obvious differences in economic development among different regions in China, the development of education is also very uneven,so each region should choose the appropriate version according to its own actual situation. In this paper, the fourth edition of "Geography 2" is taken as the research object, and the difficulty of textbooks is calculated and compared horizontally by using the curriculum difficulty model put forward by Professor Shi Ningzhong, and the coincidence between textbooks and Curriculum Standards is analyzed,in order to provide theoretical reference for textbook writers to revise textbooks, schools to choose textbooks in various regions and teachers to deal with textbooks. The research results are as follows:1.In terms of the difficulty parameters of teaching materials, the content breadth and content depth are in the same order, from small to large, the 17th edition of curriculum standard,Hunan Education Edition,People's Education Edition, shandong education press and Chinese Library Edition; In terms of course time,Hunan Education Edition has the most class hours, followed by Chinese Library Edition, shandong education press and 17th Edition, and People's Education Edition has the least.2.From the perspective of the comparable breadth of teaching materials, from small to large,it is the 17th edition of curriculum standard,Hunan Education Edition, shandong education press, and Chinese Library Edition, and the People's Education Edition is the largest; The ranking of the comparable depth of textbooks is consistent with the comparable breadth, which is still the smallest in the 17th edition, the largest in the People's Education Edition, and the other three editions are in the middle; In terms of the overall difficulty of teaching materials, the People's Education Edition is the biggest, followed by China Library Edition, shandong education press Edition and Hunan Education Edition, and the 17th edition has the smallest difficulty requirement.3.In terms of the coincidence between textbooks and curriculum standards, all editions of textbooks are completed under the guidance of the new curriculum standards, among which the textbooks of Hunan Education Edition are the most consistent with the new curriculum standards, whether in terms of comparable depth, comparable breadth or overall difficulty; However, due to the lack of class hours in PEP,the final result shows that it deviates the most from the 17th edition. The curriculum reform is a never-ending process, and the revision of teaching materials will continue. This paper analyzes the latest version of high school geography teaching, hoping to provide reference suggestions for the next revision of teaching materials and the selection of teaching materials by schools in various regions, and help frontline geography teachers to deal with teaching materials more flexibly,so as to achieve the state of "based on curriculum standards but exceeding curriculum standards".
