The Research On Employment Problems Of American College Students In The Stage Of Universal Higher Education

The problems of college students employment are focuses in today's society in common. It's significant and far-reaching to solve this problem successfully. It will benefit the entire social and economic development, higher education , personal survival and development of individuals. Nowadays we are in the time of Massification of higher education, many college students in China are facing with the enormous growing employment pressure. How to effectively solve the problem of college students employment has become the most important problem in education area and all the society.It is known to all that higher education in the United States has made great achievements and become the world model for the development of higher education. America now has entered the universal higher education stage, it also faced with this kind of problem. After an analysis of this problem, to some extent it has made more obvious improvements. In this thesis ,it begins with the main performances of college students employment after the 1970s.It analyzes the underlying reasons for this problem, and measures to solve it. Then describe some successful achievements. It also makes some constructive enlightments in considerations of China's specific conditions and higher education development.This thesis is divided into four parts:In the first part it describes the main performances of the problem of college students employment in 1970s, and then analyses the underlying causes of this problem from higher education, technological development, demographic factors, economic impact and other several aspects in detail.The second part focuses on countermeasures to solve the employment problem. It analyses separately from the individuals, colleges government and the community in society .The third part has more close relationship with Part 2. Due to the material is limited, the negative effects of these counter measurements are not mentioned. It describes the effectiveness of countermeasures , summed up the successful experience and significance of these problems.The fourth part combines with our country-specific conditions to promote some enlightenments from the concept level, policy guidance, legal protection, mechanisms , actual practice and other aspects.
