The Research Of The Price Discrimination Of Using Gymnasium In The Charge Of Macau Sport Development Board

Macao Special Administrative Region is located at the west side of the Pearl River estuary in southern China,covering an area of 28.6 square kilometers and is currently living a population of about 502,000.Macao Peninsula is one of the world's most densely populated urban areas.Due to historical reasons,Macao earlier launched modern sports.In recent years,with the continuous development of Macao's economy school sports,competitive sports and mass sports of Macao have been made considerable progress.In order to meet the needs of the development of sports undertakings,every period of Macao government attached particular importance to the construction of public sports venues. However,due to the geographical conditions of Macao narrow restrictions, it is very difficult to build new and to expand public sports facilities. So far,there are 22 public sports facilities in the charge of the Macao Sports Development Board,including 8 facilities in Macao Peninsula area and 14 in Dangzai and Luhuan area.Macao limited public sports facilities has not been effective allocation,there has been busy and not busy facilities coexist.This situation is mainly reflected in two aspects:First,in certain time, a lot of people use some facilities,while few of people use other facilities.Second,in certain facilities,a large number of people use it in certain time periods,while few of people use it in other time periods.This situation resulted from many reasons,including the stadium where the urban areas are as well as practical reasons,such as stadiums function.However,the Macao Sports Development Board is not in accordance with actual conditions to develop appropriate standards for the use of fees and charges is one of the main reasons.Macao's school sports,mass sports,competitive sports and other social organizations and individuals have a certain demand on public sports facilities of Macao.As these demands in the use of the time and venue functions have different needs,according to the difference between them develop the criteria of using fees in order to facilitate the movement of public demand for sports facilities to achieve efficient allocation of public sports venues and the purpose of promoting sports in Macao development.Hong Kong and Singapore in the Social and economic development level, the playing sports of residents,the land area,as well as the situation of sports facilities has comparability.According to research in Hong Kong and Singapore stadiums charges,can be found that the Macao stadiums charges is Oversimplified.According to economics,Macao' s public sports facilities are club product category of quasi-public goods.In order to maximize social welfare of its limited resources,it is reasonable to use price lever on needs of using of public good.Based on economics and stadium charges experience of Hong Kong and Singapore,this study focused on develop different criteria for the using charges according to the location of venues and demand characteristics of every organization.Through the criteria,it can be to ease the demand of using sports facilities of every organization and to allocate efficiently limited public sports facilities in Macau and to further promote development of Macao's public sports,school sports and competitive sports.
