The basic education curriculum reform has put forward new requirements for teachers. The Normal Universities,as the base of training new teachers,must carry out relevant reforms to satisfy the requirements of the basic education curriculum reform.Simultaneously,the other universities(not normal universities) also can train teachers,so normal universities face with stern exterior competition.In order to stand in an invincible position in the increasingly fierce competition and seek to develop,normal universities must pay attention to the quality and the development of students and improve the quality of class teaching.As the most basic and most important positions of promoting the development of students and improving the class teaching quality,the normal university should pay more attention to the class teaching. So the research of class teaching in the normal university is of great significance.Bsaed on the above pointviews,this paper follows the basic principle of "college study". In this paper,the questionnaire,documents and the way of visiting are used for analyzing the achievements and problems of the present teaching situation of one provincial normal university,and analyse the causes,then seek the solutions for the problems in order to promote the normal universities' class teaching reform and improve the quality of class teaching and give references to the other normal universitise all around China.Five parts consist of this thesis:The first part is brief introduction.It includes the introduce of the theme and purpose of this study,the analysis of relative literatures,the research ideas and method of this study,and clarify the innovation of this study.The second part is about the theoretical foundation of the research of the normal class teaching.It includes the key words,the theory of component elements about the class teaching and the dialectic relationship between academic and professional of normal university.The third part is about the investigation of present state of the normal universities' class teaching and relative analysis of the results.lt introduces three contents. 1.The current situation of the normal universities' class teaching.This part analyses the following aspects:the class teaching objective,the class teaching contents,the class teaching mode,the class teaching media and the class teaching evaluation of the normal university,the performance of teachers,the performance of students,the class teaching effectiveness.2.The analysis of the current achievements and their reasons.The current achievements: the increase of the recognition of the vacation-" teacher",the students of the normal university have grasped the knowledge of educational theory and the professional knowledge well and basically approve their normal education and class teaching.The following parts are the reasons.On the teaching management,they make a total reform of credit system and change the management model.On faculty building,they build teaching teams.The system of class teaching quality assessment,monitoring and security is initially formed.And the teachers of the normal university pay attention to class teaching.3.The analysis of the current problems and their reasons.The problems includes that normal universities' teachers do not pay enough attention to cultivate the attitudes,feelings, values and ability of students;the class teaching model is lack of change;the use of multim edia is inappropriate;the teachers and students are lack of inter-actions;normal universiti-es'students have little opportunity for practice.In addition,this study analyzes their reasons from three dimensions-classroom culture,evaluation system of teachers about the normal university and normal universities' teacher's views on the multi-media teaching and their application ability.The forth part is giving some strategies to improve the class teaching.First,liberate the anamnesis and updated the concept;generally use a variety of classroom teaching modes; rationally use multimedia;enhance normal class teaching's practicality;play an exemplary role of normal teachers.The last part is the conclusion.
