"Innovation is the soul of a people and progressive motive power of a country. The development of science and technology and the progress, of every event in the society have depended on constant innovation, and innovation depends talents, especially young persons of outstanding ability. To deal with the challenge of futural science and technology, sticking to innovating and having the courage to innovating are the most important." To regard the students' innovation ability as the important point of teaching agrees with characteristic of the time. It has great practical significance. The current thesis will probe into the cultivating theory and practice of innovation ability about math special students from elementary school in math education.The paper is divided into five parts.Part One focused on the thesis of this paper. In this part, the author questioned the existing problems through introducing the current situation of elementary maths in China. The author argued the limitation of learning objective and the old learning style, the influence of examination on the education of maths and so on. The author also stated his orientation of the study , that is, to cultivate the students' innovation consciousness through the maths education in primary school.Part Two summed up the relative study of the thesis. The author argued the notions of innovation and innovation consciousness. And the writer consulted the relative literatures of psychology and pedagogy, he presented the relationship between the education primary maths and the cultivation of innovation consciousness. He stated the significance of fostering maths innovation consciousness of primary school students.Part Three, the author surveyed the present situation of primary school students' math innovation consciousness. The subjects are 485 students from Grade Six in 8 primary schools in Handan City at random. The method used by this thesis is questionnaire and investigation. The writer drew a conclusion and analyzed it. He pointed out that in primary math teaching there was a problem of utilization, practisation, simplization and unitarization.Part Four is the investigation of padagogy strategies of fostering primary students' math innovation consciousness. In this part, the writer presented that in math teaching teachers should improve their vocational quality and ability, have clear teaching aims, master teaching principles and use well teaching strategies.Part Five focused on pondering the practice of cultivating primary learners' innovation consciousness. And the author also reflected the problems of cultivating their innovation consciousness in present padagogy concept, thoughts, padagogy contents, methods, organization forms and padagogy means.The thesis drew a conclusion: (1) Innovation talents need to be cultivated from the youth; (2) To foster the learners' innovation consciousness in primary maths padagogy is necessary, feasible and efficient.
