Language education in China has a long history,but as a discipline within the meaning of language education is just over a hundred years of history.Language education in the 20th century has undergone many changes,from reading to a unified body language,from the rise of the vernacular movement to the resurgence of reading back from the professor of public language to ten "Chinese culture-based Declaration" On the Road from the language and tools contained on the between the languages and humanities,education,science and the spirit of confrontation and integration,to the current language of the publicity value of education and culture, a 20th century history of the development of language education,is also a reflection of the 20th century,the history of language education.Language education is the mother tongue education on the Chinese nation,it should be in line with the characteristics of their subjects and teaching the law of the system.For thousands of years,our language of education in the long history of the development process has accumulated a considerable wealth of teaching experience,the content of language education as a whole into Literature,History and Philosophy,culture,open field of vision;holistic focus on the teaching and learning process,focus on reading,writing,composition,given Poetry cross,and go hand in hand,to promote each other;teaching methods focus on characteristics of Chinese texts,the writing is on the less about practicing,pay attention to the accumulation of sense of language and practice.However,since the modern emphasis on the learning process to the West,we have these excellent abandoned the traditional language teaching,language education has become a rootless tree,source of water,can not always grasp their own destiny. Therefore,we should note from the Chinese characteristics of their own in the mother tongue of foreign reference of the various theories of education,good language education to inherit and carry forward the tradition of valuable experience,and strive to build a modern language education from the system.
