Eryuan County is a part of Dali Bai nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is a Multi-ethnic settlement area, located in the northwest of Yunnan Province. Even though there is appearance of all ethnic dialect within the County, the main communication languages are Bai dialect and Chinese interlanguage. The Chinese interlanguage of Eryuan County is the language between Bai dialect and Chinese. The local people call it ‘Han Hua’. Most of Bai dialect belongs to the southern dialect, and a small part of belong to the central dialect. With the development of the society, Mandarin has a crucial effect between the contacts of all ethnic groups. In education of language, Mandarin plays intermediary role. Both the transmission of information and communication of language are inseparable from Mandarin. Mandarin has an important significance for the development of society and cultural, as well as improve the inner personal qualities of the public. Therefore, how to improve Mandarin of the primary and secondary school students in a bilingual environment, determines the success or failure of basic education of language. This article is based on the mastery field investigation on the use of language of primary and secondary school students also analysis the presence of difficulties as well as the causes during the learning of Mandarin. It also discusses a brief counter measure to solve the problem.The whole text is divided in to four chapters:The first chapter briefly introduces significance of thesis research, purpose, method as well as the related concepts and theoretical basis of the definition and research. The second chapter introduces the geography and language overview of Eryuan. It briefly compares Mandarin and Bai dialect in Eryuan and draws the differences between the results from the perspective of the linguistic. The third chapter is the investigation and analysis of the status in the study of Mandarin in the Bai ethnic minority primary and secondary schools, Eryuan County. In addition, obtain the difficulties that are being encountered in the education of primary and secondary schools,and focus on the reasons that cause the difficultiesin learning Mandarin Bai ethnic minority of primary schools. It analyse how Bai dialect and Chinese influence each other in terms of pronunciation, vocabulary,grammar and other aspects and how does the cause of Chinese interlanguage affect the study of Mandarin. The fourth chapter is based on the problems proposed and analysis of the problems in the third chapter, to put forward the counter measure research of how to improve Mandarin education of the primary and Secondary school students of Bai ethnic minority.In the final conclusion, in our country, minority ethnic dialect and Chinese is a general trend in language contact. Chinese is always in a strong position and has a broad impact on minority ethnic dialects. In contrast, the impact of minority ethnic dialects on Chinese is weak. The people who have a native minority dialect often have a heavy accent when speaking Chinese and the feature of includes minority dialects during speech. Therefore, the Chinese interlanguage being formed between the language contacts has a significant impact on the learning of Chinese. This is not beneficial to the study of Mandarin as well as the basic education of language.
