Influence On Campus Environment About Cultivation Of Innovation Thought For College Students

Innovation is the essence character and unique individuality of the human beings in the progress of human civilization.What is more,innovation is also the soul for the national development and the inexhaustible motive force for the prosperity of the country.The university campus has rich educational resources and deeply academic atmosphere,in which the innovative ideas being inspired naturally,the innovation thoughts being created smoothly and the innovative talents being cultivated continuously.Innovation thought is the highest form of human mind activities,whose forming is affected by many factors,in which the environmental factors play a vital role on the germinating stage of innovation thought.Creating an innovative atmosphere for the campus environment is very important for the college students to inspire their potential of innovation.In this paper,the impact of the campus physical environment,the interpersonal environment and the cultural environment on the cultivation of college students' innovation thought were studied.The primary function of the campus physical environment just as natural environment and hardware environment for cultivating innovation thought of college students was explained.The incentive and guiding effect of the interpersonal environment,which contains the teaching style of teachers,teachers' expectations for students,the conversation and behavior of teachers as well as the interpersonal relation among students groups in dormitory life and corporate activities,were elucidated individually.The decisive action of the campus culture environment,in the form of classroom teaching,academic activities,knowledge contests,social practice,campus study style and campus spirit,was emphasized clearly in the paper.An empirical analysis of campus environmental effect on cultivating innovation thought of college students in Dalian University of Technology was accomplished.In the investigation, 600 questionnaires were hand out to investigate the acceptance of the undergraduate students for the campus environment factors on the innovation thought cultivating.Survey result shows that,the students fully affirmed the important influence of the campus physical environment on the innovation thought,they accepted the key role of teacher groups played in the innovation thought cultivating,they aspired after the enhancement of the cultural construction of dormitories to promote communication among students,they hold high degree of recognition of positive function of activities such as implementation of innovative programs,enrichment of the second classroom as well as organization of science and technology innovation competition and social practice activities.The concrete proposals and measures for all-round creating innovative school environment atmosphere were given out.All the proposals include the following concrete measures:beautifying the campus environment and improving the hardware facilities,strengthening the building of innovative teaching staff and dormitory culture, promoting the full communication between teachers and students,renewing the education concept,activating the second classroom,carrying forward the spirit of university and improving the campus management systems,and etc..The university should constantly strengthen the building of innovative campus environment atmosphere to enhance the innovative thinking ability of students for social development.
