Research On The Current P.E Teaching Status Of Senior High School In Rural Area Of Eastern Henan Procence

As one important component of school education, physical education is essential in civil quality education, and its development in rural area is significant especially in our nation with the majority of whose population is peasant. Currently, the difficult points of national education are in rural area. So is P.E. Therefore, it has theoretical and practical significance to study on the suitable countermeasures for P.E of Senior high school there, with all the work proceed from reality and the guiding ideology of quality education conducted thoroughly.In the thesis, the author adopted literature, survey, mathematic and logical method. The participants were the current P.E teaching status of rural senior high school in eastern Henan Province. After interviewed the relevant leaders, experts and teachers, the author got the current P.E teaching status there. Meanwhile, existing problems were detected and analyzed. Finally, the author provided his suggestions.The results showed that:1. The age structure of P.E teachers there is suitable, whose main force are young or middle-aged ones. Structure of professional title is not so good, that is, senior staff only accounts a small part. The educational background basically reaches the standard. The training posterities are rare and part of the teachers is weak in scientific research.2. The proportion of P.E teachers to students is too large, and their working load is not accounted reasonably.3. P.E classes in some areas are occupied by other subjects.4. Relevant educational funds, sites, tools and so forth are in bad need.5. Leaders in different levels paid less attention to P.E. The relevant rules, measures and regulations are suspended. The supervisory board is unable to control competently. Distortions and falsifications exist in the process of P.E. inspections.The above mentioned problems impeded the health development of P.E and, to some degree, influenced the educational cause negatively. In the thesis, the author proposed the following suggestions.1. It should be emphasized and always bared in mind to conduct the party's educational policy, law, regulation, notice thoroughly and carefully.2. The P.E teaching staff there should be strengthened. The extracurricular P.E activities need more attention, support and guidance.3. P.E education should adapt to local conditions taking the students characteristics and reality into consideration.4. Positive measures should be taken to help students form life-long exercise habit. For example, school authorities can strengthen staff, funds, and instruments.
