Spencer had a famous saying that: "we should educate the mothers before educate their children." Mother is a matter of education, especially an important factor which can decide the success or failure in early time, so it should be the mothers of the infant who should be most concerned in the early music education of the babies. However, in the implementation of early music education, parent-child music activities as one of the most important means has not been given sufficient attention, the lack of mother's identity makes the mother in a passive, subordinate status in the parent-child music activities, and also in the loss of its role in children's early music education. This paper is mainly through making the theoretical status of the motherhood and the follow-up survey of the mother who participate into the A parent-child garden of Zhen Zhou City to explore the identity of the mother and the role of awareness.In this paper, the introduction is mainly talk about the studies on the origin, methods and significance of the research, and has a brief review on the related research. The first chapter has an analysis and collation of the theory about the motherhood and of the meaning of the identity of the motherhood, which lay the theoretical foundation for the study. Chapter II is mainly from the perspective of parent-child activities to talk about the rise and development of parent-child activities as well as the mother's position of the early music education and provide a realistic basis. Chapter III is mainly use the methods of Survey of paper, follow-up describe in the classroom and on-site interviews to find out the difference of the mother's identity and significance. Chapter IV is the concluding part of this article, which is mainly according to the investigation of the mother's situation who participate into the parent-child music activities to discuss the identity of mothers and the significance, and to make recommendations and prospects. The research significance of this article is hope to make mothers and the general educators to give rise to the sense of motherhood ,to make a good use of parent-child activities according to this research and to make a further optimization of early childhood music education practice. At the same time, it also can provide a new perspective to parent-child activities for the study of parent-child music activities.
