With the advancement of knowledge on children growth from highly developed countries,implementation of music education has received tremendous support on quality education for children.Learning in early child hood educations is the bed lock of future education.Therefore having a well-defined music curriculum for children helps teachers to effectively implement music education to children using suitable teaching methods.As much attention is given to research on children music education helping in cognitive development from China and some developed countries in Europe and America is an eye opener to develop music education in early child hood education in Zambia and African countries in general.The music education in developed countries have distinctive music curriculum for every level of children education.This study gives important suggestions on having a suitable music curriculum in early child hood education and that the government should supervise every early child hood schools on quality implementation of music education in both public and private schools.This study consists of three chapters of which chapter one give a proper introduction,foundation history of early child hood music education and the current situation of early child hood music education in America,Europe,china and Africa.The second chapter is based on the difference in music education system of public and private schools in Zambia and the construction of early child hood music curriculum.The third chapter is the final chapter which is based on the implementation and improvement of early child hood music curriculum in Zambia.Mainly the last chapter gives recommendation on things to be considered to improve music education in early child hood education.The Zambian government needs to reconsider funding early child hood music education and also have a deliberate policy that will see that the same music curriculum is implemented in both privet and government schools using high quality music learning materials and music teachers for early child education need to be equipped with quality musical skills.
