Research On The Design And Development Of The Educational Theme Website

The 21st century is an eras of knowledge economy and information, which raise a higher new request to people's qualities and our education. At the same time, the development of information technology has also promoted deepening of educational reform. Educational technology,the core of which is Information Technology, even has been taken as a highland and breakthrough in education reform by some scholars and leaders of the Ministry of Education. It is significant to develop personality and creativity of learners and cultivate their creative spirit and practical ability though the research and the implementation of the integration of information and curriculum. Under such a background, the research of the educational theme website creates a new mode of resources construction and new teaching mode of the integration of information technology and curriculum, which promotes the development of the educational reform.This paper is a part of the "11th Five" project of Hebei Province's Education Science and Research which is about the Construction of Web-based New Chemistry Curriculum Thematic Resource. Educational Thematic Website (ETW) is one of the kinds for developing the thematic educational resources.So, with the literature research approach and the sampling approach, on the basis of the thematic learning design, design and development for ETW are studied in this paper. The unique feature of this paper embody in three aspects: First of all, taking thematic learning design as the basis for development of the website, makes us to have a deep study on the process and method of thematic learning design. And according to the research, the theme unit of "Foot and Health" is designed; Second, the ETW developed on the basis of thematic learning design emphasize that the websites are mainly used for Theme Study. So the website resource is banded together with the study course. And the websites also have good usability; Third, this paper describes the technology and method that used to develop the modules of the website in details. We can write the program by ourselves and get the open free code from the net at the same time, so it becomes easier to develop a website.This paper consists of four chapters. Firstly, the basic conception, kinds and formation of ETW are defined by summarizing the former research of the study about the Integration of Information and Curriculum, Theme Study and ETW. And the intent, meaning, research progress and method of the study of ETW are also elucidated in this part; The second chapter discuss the theoretical foundation and technology support of the study on the development of ETW; In the third chapter, each tache of the process of Thematic Learning Design are discussed in detail, such as the choice about themes, subject design, task design, activitydesign, resource design and assess design. It also has a further exploration and discussion on the Thematic Learning Design by taking the unit design of "Food and Health" for example; In the fourth chapter, according to the discussion about ETW and the design of Thematic Learning above, the design and actualization of the ETW is discussed from a point of view of technology. The process of the ETW's development mainly comprises seven parts: function design, structure design, navigation design, interface design, module design, techno-realization and evaluation of website. And an example of the development of "Food and Health" ETW is given to illuminate the process of the ETW's development further.
