Rowing projects has been the country's traditional strengths in Europe project, and has long controlled the game almost all of the world rowing seats. But in recent years, non-European countries in order to expand the country's gold at the Olympic Games, start at this project on putting in a lot of energy to get zero breakthrough, one of the most representative of this country is China and the United States. From the achievements between the two countries in recent years, there is still a certain gap.Rowing coaches are the trained organizers and leaders, are the control part in the process of exercise training , are the main factors deciding the level of training, the quality level directly decide the level of rowing development. China in order to ensure the rowing at the international level must hold the advantage, we must set up a comprehensive training model of rowing coaches, and comprehensively improve their overall quality.The research mainly used the methods of literature, questionnaire , mathematical statistics and comparative analysis .Through researched the model of China and the United States rowing coaches to find the gap between them, improve our country's rowing coaches training modes.In this study, the main contents and the results are as follows: 1 The sources of China and the United States rowing coaches are most of experiencing and a high level of rowing excellence. Most rowing coaches of the United States have a college education and training experience.2 Rowing Coaches Association of the United States fully responsible for the training of its coaches, while the Chinese are under the leadership of the Ministry of rowing at the water sports management center the State Sports General Administration, relevant departments jointly responsible for their training.3 China and the United States Rowing Coaches training is divided into Level 3, the United States are divided into level i, level ii and level iii, China is divided into beginner, intermediate, advanced, and rowing coaches want to advanced must meet the training requirements.4 China and the United States rowing coaches are mainly through the cultivation of academic education and non-diploma education to complete. U.S. non-diploma education - continue education particularly attached importance to the practice capacity; China's non-academic education - job training is still adopt the traditional teaching form, lean to the theory.5 China and the United States are the use of modern information technology network to establish a rowing site, the U.S. training site for rowing coaches to provide a variety of information, and other countries can provide a reference of the coaches, and China in this side can not meet the coaches'need.6 China and the United States rowing training coaches, though the textual representation of different, but basically the same in essence. The United States to participate in the training of coaches must be in accordance with the level of training to participate in the operation a certain amount of practice, and China in this side and the coaches have a certain gap between the demand.7 China and the United States Rowing coaches mostly with teacher training have a high professional level of the universities'teachers and the sports coaches with the high level experienced, at the same time the United States devoted to teacher training trainers occupy a certain proportion.8 The United States rowing coaches training assessment is based mainly on the training of their choice to carry out evaluation forms, through to reach the corresponding credits to complete the requirements; and China is still the main forms of traditional assessment, but from the purpose of examination, the examination has the practical ability area around.
