On The Adjustment Of Training Objectives Of Candidates For Master's Degree In China

In recent years,the scale of graduate education expand rapidly,and the scale of master education expand by 20%-30% per year. The research on training objectives of candidates for master's degree in China will benefit for the quality of graduate education, and is helpful to its sustainable development .Furthermore, the educational system has been reformed, and the raise specification has been relocated: fostering Partial teaching scientific research personnel and massive applied high level talented person. So the training objectives must be adjusted, or else contradiction will appear, the quality of graduate education will lose evaluation standard. In short, it is necessary to the training objectives of graduate education to be adjusted.The paper analyzed the historical evolution course of master graduate with historical analytic method, summarized the evolution trend of training objectives and induced the characteristics of the training objectives besides main questions faced in present stage. Basing on the analysis of experience of American graduate education, the paper elaborated three adjustment principles of our training objectives: adapting the market economy development; manifesting students'development-oriented ideas; complying with the demand of the higher education popularity. With cases, that is, mechanics as engineering course specialized representative and higher education as liberal arts specialized representative, the paper analyzed graduates'employment flow in order to show the change of society's demand for master graduates, resulting in the adjustment of master graduates. Finally, the paper involved several key questions: constructing multiple training objectives system; by application degree primarily, fostering massive high level application talented person to meet the society; referring to the international procedure ,and taking master degree as transition degree. What's more ,some advice was given about the adjustment of training objectives ,including the reformation of degree system,renewing correlated ideas,reforming curriculum and grasping the practice idea.
