Research On The Current Situation Of Learning And Development Of Female Engineering Student

With the development of science and technology,the needs of engineers by society becomes more and more.But engineering is considered as'masculine discipline', the female engineering student face more difficulties:sush as the small population; getting employed difficultly; lacking the example of female engineering.Biological determinism and social determinism don't think feminine have the talent and ability of engineer.These two schools inspect female's development in engineering domain with the masculine angle, neglecting the feminine sound.On the contrary, the feminism proposed the viewpoint which different from the former stand in the feminine angle. This article will use the feminism view to inspect the female current learning and development in the higher engineering education.This research was on the base of the questionnaire which made of ourselves, investigating the engineer students which contained seven areas, such as Hubei, Zhejiang, Tianjin, Liaoning, Beijing,Henan,Shan'xi.,analysing the statistical with SPSS.13.0. This article mainly includes three parts,the current learning of the female engineering student; the factor which affects learning of the female engineering student;and the countermeasure which promote the development of the female engineering student. The main conclusion of the research is as follows:(1)There exisits the significance different on sex about the motivationog of learning. The motivation of female engineering student is economical independence.The persue of economical independence reflects the aspiration of freedom and displaying the talent in the public.(2)There exists the significance difference on sex about the learning behavior of engineering students.Female student's academic record is better than male student.The reason include two aspects: diligent and the test subject suiting to the female student.The female student is less satisfied with their learning than male in vigorous and enthusiasm.(3)There exists the significance difference on sex about the faith of engineering student.The female engineering students vacillate more easily than male student,and tend to non-engineering after graduating.The self-confidence and enthusiasm of the male student is higher than female student.(4)The main reasons which hampering the development of female engineering students are gender socialization and education systems.In order to eliminate the sex difference of discipline,we should annotate the concept of engineer again. Moreover, it is important to subvert the patriarchy culture in the social system duplication.We should integrate the sex consciousness to the policy-making mainstream; the school and the family should create the neutral environment for the student;the female student also must raise the sex consciousness,like this,we can eliminate the mechanical impression of sex gradually,then found a harmonious healthy engineering education environment.
