The Research On The Performance Appraisal System Of SY

In today's world,with the arrival of the era of knowledge economy,overall competition of national capacity is becoming increasingly fierce.Competition in comprehensive national capacity,in a nutshell,depends on the competition of talents. Human resources development depends on the continuous improvement and amelioration of the education system. Vocational education as an important component of a national education system,is an important foundation of the economic and social development. Higher Vocational Education is entrusted with the responsibilities of training and developing the talents with both the adequate theory knowledge and strong practice ability for manufacturing,construction,and management and services industries. Consequently, it is very urgent to develop and manage the human resources development of teachers. To establish a sound performance appraisal system of teachers at vocational colleges and institutes becomes the most important task.This paper employs the methodologies of the literature research,practice survey, theoretical analysis and experience summary on the performance appraisal system of Vocational Colleges in China. Based on the analysis of the advantage and disadvantage of the existing system,it tries to clarify the components necessary to constitute a sound appraisal system of teachers at vocational colleges. Then it introduces a case in point,the performance appraisal system of teachers at SY college. It analyzes the deficiencies of the system from the perspective of strategy positioning and education philosophy. To address the existing problem of performance appraisal system,this paper suggests the design of the performance measurements and the proposal to create a sound and effective appraisal system to meet the need of rapid development at SY vocational college .
