Abstract/Summary:
The core of modern teaching and learning process is to uphold the subjectivity of man, that is, to show respect for the core—man and their dynamic role and enthusiasm. In order to realize the change from"make me learn"to"I want to learn", teachers can motivate students by means of a variety of approaches. This research mainly puts forward the following points on the research of how Motivation Theories can be applied to high school classroom teaching and learning process from the angle of the subject of high school Politics.Firstly, Motivation Theories must be applied to teaching and learning process so as to adjust to the needs of the New Curriculum Reform and let students study actively and forwardly and finally improve the teaching efficiency. Secondly, theories lead to actions. Motivation Theories, such as A. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Alderfer's ERG Theory, Frederick Herzberg's The Theory of Morivation Factors and Hygienic Factors, Adams'Equity Theory, Locke's Goal-setting Theory, Burrhus Frederic Skinner's Reinforcement Theory, should be the guidelines to guide our educational and teaching practice. Thirdly, in high school classroom educational and teaching practice, we can achieve maximum educational and teaching results with little effort by following certain motivation principles, grasping appropriate motivation opportunities and adopting motivation methods of humor, transposition of teachers and students, and praise. Fourthly, in order to apply Motivation Theories to high school classroom teaching and learning practice, teachers and Educational Administrative Department are required to transform notion and set up new modern educational and teaching ideas.
