To conduct the reform effectively in teaching the new ideological and political course, it is necessary for the view of effective teaching, based on the scientific outlook on development, to be established and the strategies of effective teaching, a key to improving high school ideological and political course teaching, to be researched, thus revealing the principles of the ideological and political course teaching in high schools under the new national curriculum.This paper is aimed to deal with the significances of effective teaching, analyze the requirements and problems concerned and find possible strategies to promote the efficiency of classroom teaching, consisting of three parts as follows:I. The value of researching effective classroom teaching of high school ideological and political course under the new national curriculumII. The current situation and problems with classroom teaching of high school ideological and political courseIII.
