Junior middle school geometry teaching material as a special knowledge carrier,has its unique function in aspects of improving junior students' mathematics quality and realizing the training goals of junior middle school mathematics teaching.The training goals of junior middle school mathematics mainly divides into the following three aspects:First,elementary knowledge and basic skill;Second,process and method;Third,emotion,manner and values.Junior middle school geometry not only has its superiority function in training junior students' logical thinking ability and the direct-viewing imagination ability,but also has the unreplaceable function in training their fine thought quality and the dialectical world outlook.Junior middle school geometry teaching has received educational circles' attention and has been taken seriously.Therefore the junior middle school geometry teaching material is the focal point of previous mathematics educational reforms. The new round nine year compulsory education's curriculum reform being carried on by our country has made important changes to the junior middle school geometry content.This time the reform to the junior middle school geometry content has aroused widespread interest and the discussion of our society.How to adapt in the changes of geometry content in the new teaching material? How to display the characteristic and the merit of it? And how to achieve the teaching goals of junior middle school mathematics? These are the questions each junior middle school mathematics teacher must face with and explore.This article mainly bases on《The Full-time Compulsory education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(Experiment Manuscript)》drawn up by the Ministry of Education in 2001 and the junior middle school mathematics geometry teaching material of East China Normal University version,to talk about how to realize the educational goals of junior middle school mathematics through junior middle school geometry teaching.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter summarizes the vicissitudes of Junior middle school geometry teaching in our country.The second chapter discusses how to raise students' mathematical skill in the geometry teaching.The third chapter discusses how to seep mathematics thinking method in the geometry teaching.The fourth chapter discusses the relationship between Junior middle school geometry and the training of thought goal.The fifth chapter discusses the junior middle school geometry and how to realize the emotion goal.The sixth chapter puts forward some teaching proposal on the present junior middle school geometry teaching.
