Shanghai Education Press and Higher Education Press of the Secondary Vocational School teaching materials (Chinese) are based on the the spirit of 2005 "Shanghai-based secondary vocational schools and cultural subjects Curriculum standards (trial draft) "prepared to carry out. The aim is to work and the centre is to activities of Chinese which can make the students get a certain aesthetic use of ability of language and the ability to improve the quality of language to create a good ideological and ethical quality, which can set a solid foundation for the students on employment and development.In this article, we compare the two sets of teaching materials through the objectives, systems and the contents of the three aspects.Comparing the two objectives of the two books, we can know that they all obey the objectives: the ability to follow-oriented, knowledge and abilities to infiltrate the principle of integration. However, the two sets of teaching materials are prepared on different focus, for different concept of the authors. Higher Education of Secondary Vocational School teaching materials focus on the integration and penetration of knowledge, and the materials of Shanghai Education Press emphasize on teaching knowledge and language skills.Comparing the two systems, we have seen the presentation of the practical level in language teaching obviously. At the same time, the two textbooks all contain the four abilities: listening, speaking, reading and writing.The angles of my article is formed from modern works, classical works , spoken language training, elective lessons and required/compulsory lessons, foreign texts, and so on.. Further more, we figure out our own point of view as well.By this article, we hope to compare them and do some researches to know the similarities and different features between the two books, to discuss the gains and loss. We also hope it can be the reference for compiling teaching materials in the future.
