As the initial stage of life,the staged significance of infancy is beyond question. With the coming of "Information Age",information is increasingly becoming the most active and decisive factor in each social domain.The informationized society proposes a challenge to the comprehensive ability of each social member.Therefore,information literacy is not only an important component of comprehensive ability,but also becomes a basic viability and a must quality for each social member in a study-based society. Facing a future society which is virtualized,cooperative and lifelong in education,the application of rudimentary education of information literacy to infants is an urgent necessity.Under the complicated pen-media environment,the cultivation of information literacy of infants needs a further exploration both theoretically and practically due to the specialty of this study.Pan-meida environment is characterized by its accumulativeness,soundness, diversity and interactiveness.The virtualization,repeatability,subjectivity and partiality of information under pan-media environment are at the same time more outstanding.We study the cultivation of information literacy of infants in the perspective of pan-media environment,demonstrate the relationship between individual infant cognition and media by analyzing the effects of structural factors,contents,signs of pan-media environment on infants.The purpose of doing this is to build up a sound and durable cognitive structure for the future study of the infants.According to the literature research,questionnaires and individual interviews,it is found that compared with the information skills and consciousness,the lacking of the information literacy of infants are mainly represented in the ability of information criticism and understanding:(1) be short of the ability of telling the reality and illusions; (2) lacking the ability of telling truth and fault;(3) short in the ability of choosing information;and(4) short in the ability of adjudging the degree of realiability of information.The shortage of ability in information criticism and understanding is the biggest barrier in cultivating information literacy.Analyzing the current situation,we can see the series challenges facing the infancy information literacy under the pan-media environment:(1) the reasonable construction and use of kindergarten,family, and social media;(2) the improvement of teachers' information literacy;(3) the improvement of parents' information literacy,as well as(4) the improvement of children's ability in judging information.According to the problems and challenges that are facing the cultivation of information literacy of infants under the pan-media environment,we hereby propose the basic approaches in developing the infancy information literacy:(1) the cultivation of the infancy information literacy in the kindergarten education;(2) the development of the infancy information literacy in real life.The basic strategies to the above approaches are:(1) to improve the media environment in kindergarten;(2) to adjust the curriculum structure in kindergarten;(3) to utilize the social media environment reationally;(4) to improve the information technological literacy of parents.;and(5) to intensify the assurance of technology and resourses.
