Human society as a whole is heading forward to “Information Era” featured by therapid growth of information. Increasingly, information has been becoming critical factor indifferent works of our society. It is a shared view that informatization is already anirreversible trend in the development of world economy and modern society. In the face of“Information Society”, institutions of higher learning unavoidably meet somechallenges.New media has significantly changed the overall situation and work environmentof moral and political education on college students. To students’ instructors incolleges anduniversities, it means a huge opportunity for further development but also a seriouschallenge.Facing the ever-growing trend of informatization, as the crucial role incollege students’moral and political education, students’ instructors have to reflect on how to adaptthemselves to the new situation and improve their own command of information. Goodcommand of information is an indispensable capability to conduct moral and politicaleducation among college students. Also, it is a necessity for student instructors to realizetheir professional development in their work. To be specific, student instructors have tocombine new media technologies with their work and can search for and evaluate informationwith efficiency and effectiveness. Moreover, they have to do critical thinking oninformation and make useful information a part of their thoughts so as to be professionals inonline moral and political education.This thesis is well-structured and conducts research on student conductors’ capability toobtain information. First, this thesis has a focus on student instructors’capability to obtaininformation and analyzes the essence and features of their capability. What’s more, itexplores the development process of their capability in a creative way. Second, this thesisbrings forward the standard to evaluate student instructors’ capability to obtain informationand designs questionnaire for this topic. Through research and in-depth discussions, thisthesis makes a deep analysis of the current situationof student instructors’capability to obtaininformation.Therefore, this thesis enables us to well understand the overall situation of studentinstructors’ informationcapability,excitingproblems,development process,and preparesus with approaches for information capability development. In the third chapter, on thebasis of analysis and research, the writer tries to propose an information capability structuresystem which is in the line with new media technology trend as well as the new demands ofmoral and political education. Moreover, this structure system will serve as the theoretical basis and objectives to guide this research to design four development approaches to improvestudent instructors’ information capability under the circumstance of new media....
