The reform of evaluation is the core of the recent curriculum reform. The difference between the new and the old evaluations is to promote all-round development of students. Although many parts of the current evaluation system can be learned from, it deviates from the value of history education. It pays too much attention to the results of the evaluation , which leads to the one-sided development of students . In order to enhance students'initiative of history learning and promote the development of students, this essay deeply analyzes the students'cognitive, psychological and history learning situation , try to know about the students'needs in their development, and focuses on the development and changes in the process based on the theory of development. On the basis of the teaching practice, the author puts forward the combination of the formative evaluation and the terminal evaluation and points out the specific application methods: the evaluation of the portfolio, form of closed examination ,investigation of historical monuments, collection of historical data, and the composition related to history which are forms of open examination , hoping that it will be helpful to the history teaching.
