The new curriculum evaluation is not only a reform of the evaluation system; what's more, it is the reform of the evaluation ideal, target, approaches and strategies and so on. Thus under the guidance of this philosophy, operating constructive evaluation to the students has turned to the major concern of our practice and research. Under the guidance of modern scientific educational theories, concentrating on the development of the school and the students, , this thesis, based on the reality of the school and the author's own experience, taking English course as an example, centering on the curriculum reform, has carried on preliminary exploration on constructing target system, approaches, strategies, and the principles followed among middle school students.On constructing target system, this thesis expounds the three dimensional goals, that is, evaluating the students from the aspects of emotion, attitude, values,ability and knowledge. As far as approaches are concerned, it has made a concrete introduction to oral, written, potentiality, predictive, portfolio, presentative, multiple assessments. As for the mode, it explores the out-of-the class, face-to-face, questionnaire and test assessments. On strategies, it pays attention to the forming of the habit of English learning, and the development of their speciality; and concentrates on the procedure of the students'study, and their ability of language performance; and focuses on the multi-evaluation and the comprehensive application of horizontal and vertical assessment. Besides, the paper also summarizes the principles that the evaluation should follow.And three conclusions are made: firstly, the construction of new-type of the teacher-students relationship; secondly, the harmonious integration of expansionary evaluation and the process of development; and the final goal of this evaluation is to promote the individual's independent development.Based on those mentioned above, the research has carried on deep introspection , such as: expansionary evaluation should not be impromptu, random, unprincipled, but be skillful and artistic; Appraise development in student relative to disconnect , a large amount of , a overall one , carry on expansionary appraisal regularly, operating still has certain difficulty ,etc..In a word, promote the development of the students by evaluating and wish they can grow up happily and successfully.
