Studies Of The Developing Mode Of Goodwill In United States

The Goodwill is a nonprofit organization which was operated as a business company for more than 110 years around the US.It is a model of social enterprise.Social enterprise is a new organization form in recent years that developed rapidly in the world.It is the organic combination of nonprofit organization and enterprise organization.Through social and commercial operation mode realizing own sustainable development and social goals.At present.in Europe,the United States and other countries and regions,non-profit organizations transfer to social enterprises has become the important way of sustainable development.This paper studies the development of Goodwill from the perspective of corporate social responsibility.Goodwill is mainly by receiving and selling of public donations.and all the revenue is for people with disabilities,lacking of education and work experience and unemployment to improve their life,economic conditions and social status.This paper mainly is divided into five parts.The first is development background,research purpose and meaning of Goodwill,and a review of the research at home and abroad on this issue;the second is about the corporate social responsibility theory,including theory introduction and application;the third part is about the three historical periods of the development of Goodwill,and the social foundation of Goodwill,including the government policy support,civilian charitable idea spread and social entrepreneurship;the last part isThe development of management theory,organizational structure,personnel,services,operation pattern and capital management and so on to show it's successful experience,especially summarize the unique operation mode of Goodwill.It is important reference significance on the development of charity supermarket of our country and even the development of philanthropy.
