21st century is a global knowledgeable and informative era. Whether a country has a strong existence and competitive power, education plays an important role. In the past our educators only put emphasis on the students'linguistic intelligence and logical- mathematical intelligence. Nowadays new education theories arouse the change of people's education ideas, and they don't use the same teaching methods. According to Howard Gardener's Multiple Intelligence, each student has more than eight intelligences, and each student has their own strong intelligences, so educators should educate each student in accordance with their special characteristics.Jixi Experimental Middle School which the author teaches in bases itself upon elementary education. The school began to enroll the students with art speciality including the students with musical, physical culture and art speciality in 1988.Running a school for the students with art speciality now has taken shape after several decades -----the whole class is made up to the students with art speciality. The features of this school are basing on elementary. That is choosing by themselves, developing in an all-round way and having strong points in art and physical cultural. There are many students with art speciality among the students who have strong points in art and physical cultural. They are a special group with strong spatial intelligence. They also have keen powers of observation and beauty, but they are weak in literacy class. The teachers should teach in accordance with their cognitive base and cognitive characteristics when they teach the students with art speciality who are weak in linguistic intelligence and logical–intelligence. The teachers couldn't only develop their speciality and neglect others. They should develop the students in an all-round way and improve their learning ability in order to lay a foundation for the students'develop all their life.The teacher is a doer of educating and teaching. It decides education success or failure whether the teachers can teach according to the students'potentialities to make the students have the feeling of success and confidence in themselves. The students with art speciality have their own characteristics in learning. If we ask too much of them by the average students'standards, the students will lose their learning interest and even give up learning. Chinese is a basic educational course, and it is very important for improving one's quality and development. The role of Chinese language is not only training the students'listening , speaking, reading and writing skills, but also exerting an edifying influence on the students, making their intelligence perfect, and raise their life state. For the students with art speciality the Chinese language is more important than other subjects. Beyond doubt, the students can find a continuous way with the Chinese language. Compared with the teachers teaching other subjects, Chinese teachers have more difficulties. The most pressing matter of the moment is to find a proper teaching method in accordance with the students of different level and demands so that we can maximize favorable factors minimize unfavorable ones and improve their studies. The author aims at the students with art speciality in Chinese language learning and analyzes the Chinese language learning characteristic of the students with art speciality. The author lays emphasize on thinking of the theories and practical research of the students with art speciality in Chinese language learning in Jixi Experimental Middle School. The author also hopes the thesis can supply the Chinese teachers with some effective teaching methods and references esp. for the teachers who face the students with different characteristics.
