Learning strategy is one of the most inportant factors in the field of educational psychology.By using some empirical methods,a study was carried out to explore how the high school students used their learning strategies,especially for some typical students( the type of excellent-keeping,the type of undulate developed,he type of up-growth,and the type of down-growth).Based on a particular school environment,at home and abroad on learning strategies,time management strategies,self-regulated learning,this study developed the high school students learning strategies questionnaire using document analysis,interviews,surveys and case study methods.A key high school students in Hangzhou was chosen as experimental group,with the combination of interviews and questionnaires,the study researched the general characteristics and four representative characteristics of high school students' learning strategies through quantitative and qualitative analysis.The study consists of two stages.The first stage was mainly investigating the status quo of the students on the learning strategies,the second stage mainly selected four types of interviewers,a representative of the 12 third-year students as a case study.The results of this study were as follows:(1)The development level of learning strategy showed the periodic characteristics, First-year high school students and third-year students had advantages in using supplementary trategies and macro-control strategies,second-year students had advantages in using comprehensive management strategies;In term of gender difference,the males had advantages in making good humanistic learning atmosphere and comprehensive management strategies,while the female had advantages in learning attitude adjustment,learning content adjustment of supplementary strategies.(2)The excellent-keeping students had advantages in motivation management.They would take the initiative to plan their own study,in addition to do so in accordance with the requirements of teachers;(3)The undulate developed students who had fluctuations in achievement in general like to learn some subjects not others,emotional instability and low levels of emotional control,which are the main factors affecting their academic performance;(4)The up-growth students who improved their academic performance have very strong motivation to improve their academic performance,and had significant advantages in macro-control strategies;(5)The down-growth students who decreased their academic performance had problems in goal management,and not only they lacked the initiative to learn,but also they were proud and very easy to feel satisfactory.
