The Professional Development Of Politics Teachers In Middle Schools Under The Background Of New Curriculum Reform

The professional development of teachers is the new trend of the teachers' professional education. It meets the needs of the strategy of developing the country by relying on science and education. It is also the need of the social responsibility that middle school politics curriculum undertakes. The new curriculum requires the teachers of politics in middle schools to be promoters in students' subject learning, servers in students' self-learning, developers in the new curriculum and researchers in teaching. Therefore, as qualified middle school politics teachers, we must play our professional roles well, cultivate our professional spirit, enrich our professional knowledge, exercise our professional skills, and shape professional personality. To promote the professional development of politics teachers in middle schools under the background of New Curriculum Reform, teachers themselves and the society both should make great efforts. On one hand, Politics teachers should focus on their self-improvement and self-development. On the other hand, we should create a good growing environment for the politics teachers and train them in a planned and organized way.In this paper, combining the theory with years of practical teaching, the author made a research into the professional development of political teachers in middle schools, according to the theory of professional development and the individual development as well as the education of teachers under the background of new curriculum reform. It covers that: the urgency and importance of professional development of political teachers and the focus of professional development; new challenge that new teaching courses bring; the way of improving its professional level etc.
