In the theoretical research, this article analyses the Independence of Adolescents from the aspect of ability. We define the Independence Ability of Adolescents as the ability that the youth think about, solve the problem and responsible for the result of their behavior independently. We think the independence ability contains four dimensions: the ability of goal management, the ability of behavioral self-support, the ability of behavioral regulation, the ability of self-taking the responsibility. In the first part of our demonstration researches, according to our theory we design the "Adolescents' Independence Ability questionnaire" basing on opening questionnaire investigating and visiting to the interrelated people, and then do the preparing testing of it and analyze its structure, validity and reliability. In the second part of our demonstration researches, we explore the characteristics and influencing factors of Adolescents' Independence Ability questionnaire by investigating 826 middle-school students. The results of our demonstration researches show that: (1)The questionnaire contains four dimensions: the ability of self-examination and goal management, the ability of behavioral self-support, the ability of behavioral regulation, the ability of self-taking the responsibility, and the questionnaire is of satisfactory validity and reliability; (2)the whole adolescents' independence ability is on the middling level, so it have to be developed and advanced; (3)different students has the different independence ability.
